“President Bush’s re-election signifies a grave danger to the future of safe, legal abortion in this country. The pro-choice community now faces our ultimate challenge of protecting choice under another four years of George Bush.” “The pro-choice majority will need to mobilize now to stop an anti-choice groundswell before it starts. We have a difficult challenge ahead, as we face the nomination of one or more anti-choice nominations to the Supreme Court – probably as soon as the summer of 2005 – and the continued attacks on a woman’s right to choose at the state level.”
